- 1. REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER SOFTENER:
Although reverse osmosis systems are not commonly thought of as water softeners, they do remove all substances from the water, including hard water-causing minerals like calcium and magnesium. These systems frequently include extra steps to reintroduce healthy minerals into the water so that you can continue to drink it. These units, which are typically designed for under-sink installation, will frequently include their own faucet from which you can have purified, soft water on tap. High pressure is used to force water through a RO membrane, which filters down to microscopic levels. - 2. SALT BASED WATER SOFTENERS-ION EXCHANGE:
