2: Obtain Entity Registration (Plant Set-up)
If you want to start water treatment plant, you must first register your company to make it a legal organization. Any of the following registrations can be used:

To get an SSI registration, you must first apply for a provisional SSI registration certificate (PRC) from the State Government's Director of Industries. Provisional SSI registrations are valid for five years, and if the entrepreneur is unable to establish the unit within that time, a new provisional registration application can be submitted at the conclusion of the five-year term. After that, if the company starts producing or doing business, it can apply for and receive permanent SSI registration.
4: Bureau of Indian Standards (ISI) certification (BIS)
The Government of India has made BIS certification essential in the interest of public health. The applicant must submit a completed application, along with all needed papers and the appropriate fee, to the nearest BIS branch office. After that, a BIS officer conducts a preliminary factory examination to see if it meets the needed criteria. In addition to being evaluated in the facility, samples are extracted for independent testing. If the samples pass independent testing and preliminary evaluation, the applicant undertakes to follow the stated testing and inspection scheme and pay the required marking fee.
Licenses are scheduled to be given within four months of the BIS recording of the application, and six months for all-India initial licenses.
5: Certificate of pollution control
It is necessary to obtain a Pollution Control Board Certification from your state or local authority. Each state may have its own set of rules in this regard.
6: A raw water test report from an approved laboratory
Water testing is required, and reports from the BIS are generated in this regard. The testing would be carried out by the Local Water Testing Laboratory in this case.
7: Certification in pest control
Setting up a water treatment plant necessitates obtaining a pest control certification from the appropriate authorities.
8: Chemist's and microbiologist's certificates
An in-house laboratory is required, and it must be well-equipped to perform all physical, chemical, and microbiological tests as specified in IS: 3025. It must be carried out by qualified chemists and microbiologists.
9: Registration of a Trademark
Another significant registration to be made is to protect the brand name of your goods. A trademark can be registered for a company name, logo, taglines, or caption. It creates a distinct identity that connects consumers to a certain brand and increases market goodwill.
10: ISO 9001:2008 Certification
