What is Process Water Treatment?
Boiler make-up water, cooling tower make-up water, coating and plating, rinsing and spraying, washing, and a variety of other manufacturing processes is recognized as process water. Dissolved minerals in municipal or ground water supplies can generate a slew of issues that affect product quality and cost. Process water, is collected from surface and subsurface sources and treated to meet state and federal drinking water standards.
Problems associated with Process Water
Streaking, fouling, spotting, and adherence interference are just a few of the issues produced by dissolved minerals in process water.
Poor quality process water may also lead to higher energy expenses. For example, compared to untreated process water, demineralized process water will result in a significant reduction in boiler fuel consumption, allowing the boiler to work at much higher concentration cycles and lowering the blowdown of extremely hot water into the drain.
Using a variety of specialised water treatment technologies, Netsol Water has assisted in the resolution of hundreds of process-related water problems. We'll work with you to create a unique water treatment solution that meets your demands, as well as an ongoing service plan to maintain your systems, completely or partially.
Netsol’s Industrial potable/process water and equipment’s
Netsol Water is a major water treatment company in India that manufactures WTPs, WWTPs, STPs, and ETPs, among other services. We offer a number of process technologies that may be incorporated into a modular design to deal with any type of waste water effluent.
Following are some of Netsol water and wastewater treatment options-
1: Reverse Osmosis
Reverse osmosis is a technique for removing the vast majority of pollutants from water by forcing it through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure.
2: Activated Carbon Filters
Activated carbon filters are commonly used in the removal of organic compounds and/or the extraction of free chlorine from water, making it appropriate for discharge or use in manufacturing operations.
3: Aeration
Aeration is the process of introducing air in such a way that it dissolves as quickly as possible in water to offer a desired advantage. In wastewater treatment operations, providing oxygen to speed up the growth and metabolism of bacteria is a good example.
4: Ultrafiltration Treatment
Water is purified using ultrafiltration (UF), which involves pushing water through a semipermeable membrane. Water and low-molecular-weight solutes pass through to the permeate side of the membrane, while suspended particles and high-molecular-weight solutes remain on the retentate side.
5: Anaerobic digestion
Anaerobic digestion, a biological treatment method that relies on bacteria, that thrive in the absence of oxygen, is currently being used to eliminate organic wastes and trace organic contaminants (TOCs) produced by human activity.
Microorganisms break down organic substances during the anaerobic digestion process, resulting in biogas that is primarily methane.
6: Multimedia Filtration
In contrast to a "sand filter," which normally employs only one grade of sand as the filtration media, multimedia filtration refers to a pressure filter vessel that uses three or more distinct media.
7: Dealkalization
Dealkalization can be used to treat water in boilers that operate at less than 700 psi, have feedwater with less than or equal to 50 ppm alkalinity, and require 1,000 gallons of make-up per day or more. The water fed to the boiler to compensate for water lost owing to steam and blowdown is known as makeup water.
8: Ion exchange
Ion exchange, a chemical process that swaps undesired dissolved ions for similarly charged ions, is widely employed in water softening, demineralization, dealkalization, deionization, and disinfection procedures. For potable water production, specialised ion exchange resins targeted at specific impurities such as nitrates, perchlorate, and uranium have become increasingly common.
