WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY HYDROPONICS?

The hydroponic method of growing plants involves suspending the plant roots in a nutrient-rich, oxygenated water solution. Traditional methods call for the use of plastic buckets and huge containers, with the plant suspended from the center of the lid in a net pot and the roots submerged in nutrient solution. An air pump and porous stones are used to oxygenate the fluid. Because the roots receive a large amount of oxygen, the plants grow more faster using this strategy.

Does Hydroponics Need Filtration Water?

In hydroponic systems, filtration is essential for maintaining a clean water supply and fertilizer solution. The risk of sickness is reduced by keeping the water clean and clear of particles. Water filters for hydroponics help to conserve water and keep production systems clean.

TWO MAIN CATEGORIES OF HYDROPONICS WATER FILTERS

There are two types of water filters available for hydroponic gardening systems.

FIRST CATEGORY: Ultrafine or micro filtration filters fall into the first category. Chemicals and dissolved contaminants in the source water are removed.

SECOND CATEGORY:Hydroponics water filters are used for irrigation in the second category. As water is circulated and recycled on a daily basis, these safeguard nozzles, pipes, and drip irrigation equipment.

ADVANTAGES OF HYDROPONICS FILTRATION

Hydroponic irrigation systems often use water from rivers, lakes, or public water supplies. One of the primary advantages of hydroponic growth or a hydroponics water filter is the elimination of variables. Specific nutrient formulations have been developed for each type of plant and crop. The water used to generate and maintain nutrient solutions is one of the most essential variables in commercial hydroponic cultivation.

How Is Chlorine In Water Beneficial For Plant Growth?

It's considerably more difficult to tweak your formula and ensure you have the right amounts of each component for optimal growth if you don't have pure water. It's possible that the water source you're using is actually harmful to plant growth. Chlorine, in the form of chloride, is an important ingredient for plant metabolism in trace levels. Chlorine in high levels, on the other hand, can be hazardous to plants. To treat biological contaminants, water treatment plants sometimes shock the water supply with high quantities of chlorine. These shock treatments aren't publicised, and they might wipe off a whole crop. Another chlorine-based disinfectant that can affect plants and other hydroculture operations is chloramine.

PROBLEM FACED BY HYDROPONIC FILTRATION

In most municipal and well water systems, water hardness is a serious hydroponic issue. An overabundance of calcium and magnesium dissolved in the water causes hard water. Calcium and magnesium, by coincidence, are both minerals contained in most complete plant fertiliser formulas. The issue is that the high concentrations produce mineral salt build-up on the roots and in the growing medium, resulting in nutrient lockout.

At the very least, the plants will be unable to absorb the right mix of nutrients needed for long-term growth. In the worst-case scenario, the major nutrients essential for growth will be missing, resulting in the crop's death. To reduce the pH of some carbonate-rich water supplies, acids must be added. Nutrients are rendered inaccessible for uptake by plants if the pH is out of range. The bicarbonates are neutralised to carbon dioxide and water when phosphoric acid is added to reduce the pH.

Some of the acids react with calcium to generate calcium phosphate, which is insoluble. Calcium phosphate is around 95% water insoluble and forms limescale when it comes out of solution. The calcium and phosphate are no longer available to the plants once they have precipitated. Drip irrigation pipes and submersible pumps will become clogged with calcium phosphate scale. If the water source is strong in bicarbonates, lowering the pH of the nutrition solution may require ten to fifteen times the amount of phosphoric acid. The risk of phosphorus poisoning rises as a result.

The reverse osmosis (RO) filtration system is the best available technology for removing disinfection chemicals and extra minerals from your water supply. By using a hydroponics water filtration system, NETSOL commercial hydroponic reverse osmosis systems are designed to deliver the best water for hydroponic growing operations.

Micron sediment pre-filter, activated carbon cartridges for chlorine, chloramine, and organic pollutants removal, and reverse osmosis filtration that eliminates all minerals, salts, and heavy metals are all included in NETSOL reverse osmosis systems.
