For more than 10 years, Netsol Water has created and installed unique industrial water softeners. Our water softener systems offer several characteristics and features. Some of them are as follows:
1-Skid-type
2- Explosion-proof control panels and wiring
3- Control valves using water or pneumatic actuators
4- Bleach pumps
5- Available materials for piping include stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, PVC, and CPVC
6- Installation preparation and factory testing
7- Pipes, wiring, and control valves already installed
We specifically tailor our industrial water softening systems to your particular requirements. To make sure you have the ideal water softening system for your application, our experts will work directly with you.
We provide dependable water softeners that can withstand harsh situations
To save time during the on-site installation, we skid mount commercial and industrial water softeners with pre-installed pipes, wiring, and control valves. To guarantee that your unique system is ready for installation right away after delivery, we test all functions in the factory.
How to design of Industrial Water Softeners?
An industrial water softener system's design must take into account a number of aspects.
1. The application is the first thing to consider. For what will the system be used? Many different uses and businesses can use industrial water treatment systems, including:
· Refineries
· Hospitals
· Cooling Towers
· Hotel boiler feed, etc.
2. Calculating the system's daily demand is the second factor in the design process. This is determined using the influent water quality, gallons per day (GPD), and gallons per minute (GPM). The daily demand is what determines the dimensions of the tank, the pipe, and the control valve. Each vessel should renew no more than once every day, as a general rule.
To reduce pressure loss and lengthen bed life, bed velocities must be at an appropriate level. Bed velocities might be anything from very cautious to quite aggressive. The majority of designs specify bed velocities of 8–12 gpm per square foot of bed surface.
3. An investigation of the influent water is essential to ensure that a vessel does not regenerate, more than once each day. The volume of a cubic foot of cation resin depends on the salt content and water hardness.
Calcium and magnesium make up water hardness, which is expressed in parts per million (PPM) or grains per gallon (GPG). You must determine the amount of salt to use, the hardness of the water, and how many cubic feet of resin are contained in each vessel, in order to determine a water softener's capacity.
4. No Loss of Pressure- Pressure loss must be carefully taken into account while building the industrial water softener system. Resin bed depth, bed surface area, size/type of control valves, pressure vessel internals, and pipe size are factors that affect system pressure loss.
The system will experience higher pressure loss the deeper the resin bed is. The bed velocity is the same in this regard. Pressure loss increases with increasing bed velocities. The conventional design requires for a drop in pressure, across the service control valves of no more than 1 psi. The valves have a specific flow rate rating at a 1 psi pressure drop. All design work requires the calculation of this variable, known as Cv.
Water Softeners for Cooling Towers and Boilers in Industry
Boiler feeds and cooling towers are two frequent uses for industrial water softeners.
1: For boilers: To ensure a steady supply of soft water, boiler feeds often involve switching between water softeners. In developing the water softener system, capacity—rather than flow rate—is the key consideration due to boiler efficiency.
2: For cooling towers: An industrial water softener is included to continually soften a portion of the water in cooling towers, as a side-stream system or used to remove calcium and magnesium from the make-up water. This can reduce the scaling potential of calcium and magnesium associated deposits, by removing (or at least managing) the quantity of calcium and magnesium, in the tower bulk water.
In either of these scenarios, a high-quality custom water softener quickly pays for itself through less energy use, increased system component life, and decreased repair expenses.
