Brief explain history and future of water softener?
Water history can categorized in three parts
1- Past of Water Softener
2- Present of Water Softener
3- Future of Water Softener
PAST OF WATER SOFTENERS
1920-1950:
Water softening has been practiced in Egypt since 1500 BC, but the concept was not fully realized until the mid-to-late 1800s. Emmett J Culligan and Lynn Lindsay were neighbors in the 1920s and clearly collaborated on soft water ideas and systems before splitting up.
1960:
The fully automatic 5-cycle water softener control valve was invented by Ron Baker, President of Water Refining. Of course, his father installed one in house, and the water quality improved significantly.
1980-1990:
Water softeners haven't changed much since the 1980s. Kinetico pioneered the non-electric twin-tank water softener, and Fleck Controls quickly followed suit with an electric twin-tank water softener. Non-electric appears to be more appealing, but a water softener only uses a few dollars in electricity per year (if that).
PRESENT OF WATER SOFTENER
In present time, in India, Netsol water solutions manufacture two types:
1. Semi-automatic and 2. Fully automatic.
1-Semi-Automatic:
These types of water softeners, unlike the manual water softener, feature two additional components. A brine tank and a simple time-controlled electric valve are all that's required. There are a few clockwork valves that don't actually connect to the electric source.
The brine tank is where salt is kept, acting as both a salt reservoir and a place where some of that salt can be dissolved into brine. The control valve's job is to allow brine (salt water) to be introduced into the water softener vessel to aid in the mineral regeneration process. This regeneration is triggered by a time clock that is set up such that the water softener regenerates once a day, twice a day, three times a day, and so on.
2-Fully Automatic:
A very effective and efficient water metering mechanism is used in these types of water softeners. This is where the water softener monitors the amount of water utilised in the house and reacts accordingly. Much better than the above-mentioned semi-automated water softener system. The essential components are the same as in the semi-automatic water softeners described above, but the control valve is now actuated by the softened water.
FUTURE OF WATER SOFTENER
There are some organizations that are working for the much advanced models of the water softeners. They're taking water softening to the next level with the new Matrixx Drop Technology.
It is, in fact, much more than a water softener, albeit a highly efficient and dependable one. It is a WiFi-enabled Total Home Water Management System. The absence of "dinosaur buttons" is the first thing you'll notice. It is fully programmed using the Drop app for your smartphone, whether it is an Apple or an Android device.
Netsol Water Solutions is also considering and working to develop such technologies for better water solutions and for the ease of their customers.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF MATRIXX WITH DROP TECHNOLOGY?
Matrixx with drop technology is basically a home leak detective system which is used to detect all kinds of leakages in the home just to avoid floods.
The Drop water leak detection system will notify you immediately if your property is in danger of sustaining water damage as a result of:
· dripping faucets
· Water heaters that have failed
· Pipes burst
· Fixtures and appliances that are leaking
· Basement flooding and other flood-prone areas of your home
