What chemicals are used in a steam boiler?

Steam boilers take advantage of a widely available resource's natural properties: water. This should, in principle, cut your utility bills. However, certain water chemistries might actually cause more harm than good, corroding, scaling, and jeopardising your investment.
Chemicals Used in Boilers
Chemicals are divided into two categories for Boilers to choose from. Boilers are divided into two chemical groups: steam boilers and hot water boilers.
1:Steam Boiler Chemicals - Oxygen Scavengers, Amines, Phosphates, Polymers, and Alkalinity Builders are some of the chemicals used in steam boilers.
2: Oxygen Scavengers - The most prevalent variety is a 38 percent oxygen scavenger with a pH of 4 or less. Other solutions include a cobalt catalyst as well as alkalinity boosters. These blends are typically 50 percent dilutions with pH levels of 7 and 10. These blends eliminate the need for an alkalinity source (i.e. eliminates using a separate alkalinity drum).
3: Boiler Alkalinity Builders - The most popular boiler alkaline products are potassium or sodium hydroxide. Sold mostly in 25 percent and 50 percent solutions.
4: Neutralizing amines are referred to as neutralizing compounds. Diethylaminoethanol, Cyclohexylamine, and Morpholine, these compounds are available as single components or multi-blends in a variety of dilution ratios.

6: Hot Water Boilers - A mixture of Sodium Nitrite is the most cost-effective chemical to employ.
