After passing water through cation and anion exchangers, the water is interned into a mix bed unit, which has both resin and effluent water that comes into contact with the sound of the cation/anion exchangers, resulting in good water quality in the output. When back wash is performed via the resin bed, it has a rubber lining inside that provides a good room for resin expansion.
