Classification of industrial waste

1. Solid waste:Though the term "industrial waste" comprises a wide range of products, industrial solid waste is one of the most prevalent. The solid waste can be produced by manufacturing operations such as: generating electricity, chemicals used in agriculture and inorganic chemicals, manufacturing of iron and steel, manufacturing of plastics, resins water treatment and much more.
2. Toxic waste: Toxic or hazardous waste can also be found in industrial waste. If not properly managed, this type of industrial waste has the potential to harm humans, animals, and the environment by contaminating waterways such as rivers and lakes.This type of industrial waste is typically created as a consequence of the production of other materials in industries, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.
3. Chemical waste:Factories, processing facilities, warehouses, and plants are the most common sources of chemical waste. Chemical waste is primarily made up of hazardous chemicals. This does not, however, imply that it is a harmful substance. A substance must have ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, or toxicity to be declared hazardous. To maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, chemical waste must be segregated on-site.
4. Secondary waste: The EPA's Sustainable Materials Management initiative has also placed a focus on repurposing non-hazardous secondary materials such as wastes and residuals from the manufacturing process. Classification of commercial waste

Forest or agricultural wastes, manure, sewage sludge, or other biodegradable waste such as natural textiles, paper, or processed wood are not included. It also excludes food waste by-products that are never thrown away. The creation of methane from bio-waste (and other biodegradable waste) decaying in landfills is now the most serious environmental danger posed by bio-waste (and other biodegradable waste).
2. Electronic waste: Electronic waste, often known as e-waste, refers to gadgets that have been dumped electrically or electronically.E-waste is defined as used electronics that are meant for refurbishment, reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or destruction.Electronic waste components, like as CPUs, contain toxic amounts of lead, cadmium, beryllium, and brominated flame retardants.
3. Demolition waste:Demolition waste is the material left over after buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure have been demolished. Concrete, wood goods, asphalt shingles, brick and clay tile, steel, and drywall are some of the major components of debris by weight. Many aspects of demolition waste have the potential to be recycled.
