A specially made, extremely durable FRP tank houses our Packaged Sewage Treatment Plants. These tanks are small and can be used anywhere, whether underground or above ground, in a decentralized fashion.

This packaged STP is made to lower the permitted limit set by the Pollution Control Board, for the treated sewage parameters (BOD, COD, TSS, TN, etc.). In this system, MBBR/MBR technology is employed.

Packaged STP process description: Stages of packaged STPs

1. Preliminary Treatment

To eliminate all the large debris transported in the sewage stream, such as cans, rags, sticks, plastic packs, etc., the influent sewage water is passed via a bar screen.

2. Primary Care

An oxygen-depleted anaerobic zone, or the first stage of the PSTP, is where the solids in raw sewage settle, while enabling the scum to float to the top. It is a region where anaerobic digestion stabilizes the settled sludge.

3. Secondary care

a. ASP:The activated sludge from the final sedimentation zone is returned to the anoxic zone, where dissolved oxygen levels are kept at roughly 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l, where denitrification of the wastewater stream is completed.

b. Anoxic zone:Anoxic bacteria break down existing nitrates during the denitrification process, releasing inert nitrogen gas into the atmosphere.

c. Aeration Zone: Sewage from the solid separation zone is discharged into this area. With the aid of air blowers, air is disseminated, which promotes the development of bacterial communities in and around the floating plastic medium, which has been added to the aeration zone.

Microorganisms can grow on a larger surface area thanks to the MBBR media.

d. Sedimentation Zone:Organic waste settles in the sedimentation zone, which is the site of the following treatment step. In order to verify that the effluent quality meets the required sewage standards, the settled waste at the bottom of the tank is pumped back into the anoxic zone, as return sludge.

4: Tertiary care

The pressure sand filter and activated carbon filter are subsequently used to remove suspended solids (TSS), colour, and odour from the secondary treated sewage, along with RO systems. Before being utilized again, the treated water is first disinfected with sodium hypochlorite or UV disinfection system.
