Netsol Water Solutions is the most reputable DM plant manufacturer on the market today. They produce high-quality DM plants. The company produces almost all of the DM plants that are currently in use. The most notable features of the Netsol products are their low cost and the company's lifetime service warranty. Another advantage of these units is that they require very less maintenance.
Demineralization, the process of removing almost all dissolved salt and mineral ions from water, can be ideal for facilities that require ultrapure water for a variety of applications.
Every DM plant operates on the same basic principle. They use the ion exchange method to remove minerals and other contaminants from water. The purity of the water is determined by the type of DM water plant used.
Demineralization systems are typically available in one of the two configurations:
-
Twin-Bed Ion exchangers:
Twin-bed demineralization systems consist of two columns or beds, one containing a cation exchange resin and the other an anion exchange resin. The process water is cycled through the beds in a sequential manner, first through the cation resin, where mineral contaminants are replaced by hydrogen ions, and then through an anion resin, where mineral contaminants are replaced by hydroxyl ions, which combine with the hydrogen ions to form pure water.
-
Mixed-Bed Ion exchangers:
Mixed-bed demineralization systems consist of a single unit or column containing a mixture of cation and anion exchange resins. As process water is cycled through the resins, this occurs repeatedly within the unit, resulting in a higher removal of ionic contaminants than twin-bed systems.
APPLICATION OF DM WATER PLANTS IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
More and more industries are beginning to use DM plants to prepare a large amount of demineralized water. Some industries namely cosmetics, refinery, petrochemicals and so-on, have been using these units since their discovery. These are industries that require a high level of purity in their water.
- 1. For boilers that generate steam to power turbines, high-pressure boilers and as a result, more complex feed water treatment systems are required. Therefore, in the power industry, demineralized water is frequently used for boiler feed water and steam generation.
- 2. Deionized and distilled water are utilised in sectors such as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics to assure product quality and safety.
- 3. In the power industry like refineries, they also use dm water produced by dm water plant to feed their high-pressure boilers because many higher-pressure boilers necessitate cleaner water with fewer contaminants than some lower-pressure boilers.
- 4. Demineralized water is utilised as a component in various businesses to sanitise equipment and containers.
