Green Category:
The Green category includes industries that have a low level of pollution and environmental impact. Industries that fall under the Green category are exempted from obtaining environmental clearance from the MoEFCC. However, they are required to obtain a consent to operate from the SPCB. Some examples of industries that fall under the Green category are small-scale industries such as cottage industries, khadi and village industries, and food processing.
White Cat?egory:
The White category includes industries that have a negligible level of pollution and environmental impact. Industries that fall under the White category are also exempted from obtaining environmental clearance from the MoEFCC. However, they are required to obtain a consent to operate from the SPCB. Some examples of industries that fall under the White category are IT and software companies, hotels, and hospitals.
