1: In comparison to flexible hose collectors or fixed grid collectors, our sludge collector is a more effective design for collecting settled particles from sedimentation basins.

2: The Sludge Collector uses only rigid pipe, which prevents problems with air pocketing, ripping, collapsing, and tangling. Additionally, compared to fixed grid collectors and chain and flight collectors, which produce lower solids concentrations and demand more dewatering, it more effectively catches the fluidized sludge.

3: It decreases the amount of time sludge must travel before being evacuated from the tank. Once sludge is collected, there is no in-pipe baffling or interference.

4: It decreases the likelihood of blockage and enhances sludge flow.

Design of a Sludge Collector
