Netsol Water is a well-known manufacturer of Industrial RO Plants in India. We design and manufacture Industrial Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants and Systems for the treatment of water, and wastewater.
Our RO Plants specialize in water reclamation through the treatment of potable water. Our facilities are energy efficient, particularly when used to produce clean water rather than distillation. These are simple to install and maintain.
How to maintain Industrial RO Plants?
Daily maintenance mostly refers to the up-keep of pre-treatment equipment, reverse osmosis systems, and downtime.
Maintenance of the pre-treatment equipment’s
- The backwash time with the sand filter and activated carbon filter in pre-treatment, is dictated by the quality of the raw water. The usual backwash time is about a week if the raw water is purified as tap water.
- The period is around 3 days if the feed water is groundwater or water from rivers and wells. The backwash process guarantees that the accumulated sludge, pollutants, and particles in the pre-treatment devices are released on time.
- To ensure the quality of the reverse osmosis device's incoming water, the safety filter's filter element must be replaced, if the differential pressure between the inlet and exit water reaches 0.06 MPa.
- The filter element's replacement duration is governed by the quality of the incoming water, and the typical replacement time is 23 months.
- Do not expose the resin tank to direct sunlight.
Industrial Reverse osmosis plant maintenance
- All RO device operating parameters must be routinely recorded. Suggest that the recording be done every two hours.
- The reverse osmosis membrane element must be cleaned on a regular basis. The deposited sediments on the surface of the RO membrane, impair the membrane's permeability.
- For a variety of reasons, a similar cleaning measure based on reverse osmosis membrane chemical cleaning procedures can be applied.
- Routine check the conductivity meter, various pressure gauges, and the PLC system, to ensure that the RO system is operational.
- Regular inspection of the water pump and high-pressure pump, as well as timely replacement of lubricating oil in accordance with the maintenance handbook.
Maintenance during downtime
- If the reverse osmosis device is inactive for less than three days, the cleaning system must be flushed once every 24 hours, and the filtered water must be fed into the reverse osmosis membrane module.
- To extend the downtime of the RO device (more than 3 days), fill the RO membrane module with a 1% formaldehyde solution. Once a month, all valves should be closed and checked.
- It is preferable to use fresh water from the reverse osmosis device's outflow, as the system's preservation water, and the formaldehyde solution should be a chemical reagent.
- If the RO membrane is a composite type and the downtime exceeds one week, the RO membrane should be immersed in a 1% NaHSO3 solution, to prevent bacterial development on the membrane's surface.
- Water purification system maintenance is a meticulous process. When done properly, the water filtration system can maximize manufacturing efficiency while lowering expenses.
Maintenance which includes CIP service
Netsol Water can provide CIP services to help you get the most out of your RO system.
· On-site cleaning
Because, fouling or scaling of the RO membrane happens over time as the membrane continues to reject contaminants from the feed water, all reverse osmosis membranes will require frequent cleaning. As a result, there are more operating pressures, more operating expenses, less output, and lower quality. Depending on the application, a typical reverse osmosis system requires membrane cleaning every 3 to 12 months.
Regular cleaning of reverse osmosis systems can increase efficiency while extending the life of your assets.Cleaning on-site can be performed by our professional technicians who can provide all technical support, needed to get the best outcomes following the cleaning.
Chemicals for cleaning are provided on-site, and a full membrane cleaning will be performed utilizing the existing CIP system.
